There is a year remaining before Kazuma leaves Japan to follow his ambition: to find the truth of his father’s ignominious death. He's prepared to do whatever it takes, even destroy what little remains of his life and his family's pride. For now, though, all he has to do is maintain his honour student status, and wait.The complicating factor is his recently acquired best friend, Ryuunosuke, whose straightforward kindness threatens the safety of a life in which Kazuma has no-one left to lose.As they get inevitably closer and closer, Kazuma’s fears begin to overshadow what could have been a simple tale of young love.
ECDYSIS is an R18 180 page AsoRyuu doujinshi/graphic novel written and illustrated by Marcia (@marciaillust).The doujinshi will be available as a digital PDF, and for a limited time as a hardcover book accompanied by bonus goodies, including EVENT HORIZON, my previous asoryuu doujinshi.

Q: Who is the creator/mod of this project?
A: Ecdysis was written and illustrated by Marcia (@marciaillust), a uk based illustrator. I have been creating comics for the better half of the past decade during which I released a number of projects including Event Horizon - my pervious asoryuu doujinshi. Apart from literary ventures, I also dabble in creating merchandise and have been running an online store for the past 6 years.Q: Does the doujinshi contain spoilers for DGS2?
A: Yes, the story contains both implicit and explicit spoilers for DGS2.Q: Is this doujinshi R18? Who tops/bottoms?
A: Yes, there are explicit sex scenes in it. Kaz tops, Ryuu bottoms.Q: Are there any applicable TWs/ CWs?
A: While the story broadly focuses on asoryuu and romance, there are a few passing lines/images pertaining to potentially upsetting subject matter.This includes:
- mentions of parental death,
- repeated imagery of: butterflies, caterpillars and snakes,
